Jennifer has worked in the youth corps and national service fields since 1993. She earned a B.S. in Psychology and a M.S. in Management and Organizational Behavior. She served as CYCA's Associate Director for seven years and was responsible for developing new youth corps programs, managing CYCA's accreditation process, providing technical assistance to the field, engaging in strategic communication with state and federal elected officials, and managing CYCA's AmeriCorps Program.
Susan Carlson

Susan comes to CYCA with a diverse background. After receiving her B.S. in Family and Child Development with an emphasis in Community Service from Kansas State University, she worked at a summer recreation program for disabled children. She then worked for Qwest in various positions and retired after 25 years. Most recently, Susan worked at The Piton Foundation on their Earned Income Tax program. Her responsibilities at CYCA include bookeeping, project reporting, and managing CYCA's AmeriCorps Education Award program. Susan enjoys gardening, antiquing, bird watching, and camping.
Andrea Hidalgo

Andrea Hidalgo is serving as an AmeriCorps VISTA member with the Colorado Youth Corps Association. She will be CYCA’s Development and Education Coordinator and will develop a health and wellness curriculum for use by youth corps crews and will launch a corporate giving campaign. Originally from Washington State, she earned her B.A in Political Science and Philosophy from Colorado State University. She has worked as a youth program coordinator and enjoys hiking in the mountains and traveling.
