Benefits to Young People and Veterans

The Colorado Youth Corps Association (CYCA) promotes youth development and conservation by supporting Colorado youth conservation corps.  CYCA is a statewide coalition of 8 accredited youth conservation corps that employ and train youth, young adults, and military veterans on land, water and energy conservation projects. Youth corps is a proven strategy for engaging young people in service to their communities and stewardship of their environment while cultivating valuable skills to meet the challenges of the 21st century.

Youth corps participants earn a full-time wage or living stipend and also gain technical training and work experience.  Youth corps participants improve Colorado’s public lands, conserve natural resources and help the disadvantaged while building bright futures for themselves.
